National audienceArchaeological research led on the southeast plateau of the Caen area has developed since the 1970s. Thirteen domestic enclosures dating to the Late Iron Age were studied. This density has revealed diverse occupation types. The first comparisons were centred on how the sites were organised, however here we will concentrate on the artefacts. The “instrumentum” found on a site allows us to identify some of the activities which took place. Also, all of what is often described as “small finds” provides information about the status of the occupants of a site.
