International audienceSubverting Consent: Women in Palestinian Refugee Camps in Jordan (1948–2001) - In Palestinian refugee communities, and notably in camps, families have displayed the image of family permanence since the 1948 historical rupture and exodus. This traditional discourse on family has been reinforced by most political actors in the Kingdom to strengthen nation building or nationalist claims. Contradicting the effective image conveyed on and by camp society, refugee women are keys actors of family and social change in the camps.
