The present thesis consists of a synchronic historic study (1650-1700) and a diachronic study (from 1700 onwards) of music terminology in two countries (France and England) and two languages (French and English). We gathered, processed and analysed a corpus of period writings on music (term-extraction corpus), in order to create a terminological database in i Term.
