PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN KONTRASEPSI HORMONAL DENGAN USIA MENOPOUSE

Menopause is the cessation of the last menstrual period or at the time of the last menstruation after getting an amenorhoe ± 1 year, occurs between the ages of 40-60 years (Bobak et al., 2004) This means that the longer the mother experiences menopause, the greater the impact on the mother . According to data obtained from BPS Kisworo Pratiwi Surabaya, the period May-June 2012 showed that there were 3 people (20%) experiencing menopause at the age of <45 years, and 4 people (26.6%) who entered menopause at the age of> 50 years. Based on the above problems, research is conducted with the aim of analyzing whether there is a relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and the age of menopause. Method: This study used an analytical method with cross sectional research design and the type used was systematic random sampling, a population of 80 people and a sample of 45 people. Data collection by interview. The data is then processed with a frequency table, cross tabulation is then analyzed by the Chi-Square test. Results: The results of the study showed that the majority of non-hormonal contraceptive use was 64.44% and the majority experienced rapid menopause age of 57.78%. From the results of cross tabulation, the majority of non-hormonal contraceptive use experienced rapid menopause of 75.86%, while the majority of hormonal contraceptive use experienced a slow menopause of 68.75%. And from the Chi-Square results, (χ2) count> (χ2) table (8.55> 3.84). Discussion: There is a relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and the age of menopause. It is better to face menopause when it is necessary for self-readiness, mother's understanding of menopause and symptom symptoms that will arise during menopause, and prepare physically and psychologically to enter menopause considering contraception can affect the age of menopause.Menopause adalah berhentinya haid terakhiratau saat terjadinya haid terakhir setelah mendapat amenorhoe ± 1 tahun, terjadi pada usia antara 40-60 tahun.(Bobak, dkk, 2004) Hal ini berarti semakin lama atau cepat ibu mengalami menopuse maka semakin besar dampak yang terjadi pada ibu. Menurut data yang diperoleh dari BPS Kisworo Pratiwi Surabaya periode Mei-Juni 2012 menunjukkan bahwa didapatkan 3 orang (20%) mengalami menopause di usia < 45 tahun, dan 4 orang (26,6%) yang memasuki menopause pada usia > 50 tahun. Berdasarkan masalah diatas maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan menganalisis adakah hubungan antara penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal dengan usia menopause. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik dengan desain penelitian cross sectional dan tipe yang digunakan adalah systematic random sampling, jumlah populasi 80 orang dan sampelnya 45 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara. Data kemudian diolah dengan tabel frekuensi, tabulasi silang kemudian dianalisa dengan uji Chi-Square. Hasil : Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa mayoritas penggunaan kontrasepsi non hormonal 64,44% dan mayoritas mengalami usia menopause cepat 57,78%. Dari hasil tabulasi silang, penggunaan kontrasepsi non hormonal mayoritas mengalami menopause cepat 75,86%, sedangkan penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal mayoritas mengalami menopause lambat 68,75% . Dan dari hasil Chi-Square,   (χ2) hitung >  (χ2 ) tabel (8,55 > 3,84). Diskusi : Ada hubungan antara penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal dengan usia menopause. Sebaiknya dalam menghadapi masa menopause diperlukan kesiapan diri, pemahaman ibu tentang menopause dan gejala gejala yang akan timbul pada masa menopause, serta mempersiapkan fisik dan psikologis untuk memasuki masa menopause mengingat kontrasepsi dapat mempengaruhi usia menopaus
