ASPIRACIONES, EXPECTATIVAS EDUCATIVAS Y DE TRABAJO DE ESTUDIANTES DE BACHILLERATO DEL PLANTEL CUALÁC Y METLATÓNOC, GUERRERO

Objective: To know and analyze the educational and labor perspectives of high school students in the municipalities of Metlatónoc and Cualác, Guerrero. Methodology: The subjects of the study were the students who attended the sixth semester of the Baccaulaerate schools of Cualác and Metlatónoc, to which a census questionnaire was applied to 82 of them (44 women and 38 men) to gather information about their aspirations, educational and work expectations. The information was analyzed using descriptive statistics.Results: The young people are of Tu’un savi (Mixteco) and Náhuatl origin, with ages between 17 and 21 years old. More than 50% of them work and study. Their parents are peasants and their mothers attend the home, they have a low educational level, 25% are illiterate and 50% did not complete primary school. The students chose the Baccaulareate because of the lack of economic resources to study in another place. They have an enthusiasm and interest to finish their technical career and continue studying at the university (80%). As job expectations, they are inclined towards education, commerce, cars mechanic, office and agricultural activities.Study limitations: In this survey, only students were interviewed, not parents or teachers, which would have allowed a more complete study.Conclusions: Parents, despite the low level of schooling, support their children, who are willing to learn, finish their baccalaureate and continue studying at the university to have a good job, security and good economic perceptions.Objetivo: Conocer y analizar las perspectivas educativas y laborales de los estudiantes de Bachillerato de los municipios de Metlatónoc y Cualác, Guerrero.Metodología: Los sujetos de estudio fueron los estudiantes que cursaban el sexto semestre de los colegios de Bachilleres de Cualác y Metlatónoc, a los cuáles se les aplicó un cuestionario por censo a 82 de ellos, 44 mujeres y 38 hombres para captar información sobre sus aspiraciones, expectativas educativas y de trabajo. La información se analizó mediante estadísticos descriptivos. Resultados: Los jóvenes son de origen Tu´un savi (Mixteco) y Náhuatl, con edades entre 17 y 21 años. Más del 50% de ellos trabaja y estudia. Sus padres son campesinos y sus madres atienden el hogar, tienen unnivel educativo bajo, 25% es analfabeta y 50% no completó la primaria. Los estudiantes eligieron el Bachillerato por la falta de recursos económicos para estudiar en otro lugar. Tienen un entusiasmoe interés por terminar su carrera técnica y continuar estudiando la universidad (80%). Como expectativas de trabajo, se inclinan por la educación, el comercio, mecánicos de autos, oficina y actividadesagropecuarias.Limitaciones de estudio: En el trabajo solo se entrevistó a estudiantes, no a padres ni a maestros, lo cual hubiera permitido tener un estudio más completo.Conclusiones: Los padres a pesar del bajo grado de escolaridad, apoyan a sus hijos, los cuales tienen disposición por aprender, terminar su Bachillerato y continuar estudiando la universidad para tener un buen trabajo, seguridad y buenas percepciones económicas
