CAPACIDAD DE CARGA TURÍSTICA DE LA RESERVA ECOLÓGICA MINERAL DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE COSALÁ, SINALOA, MÉXICO

Hiking is an activity that allows walking around natural spaces and that must be protected for the next generations. The Tourism Load Capacity is not an innovative study for the ecological scope, and it consists in establishing a maximum limit of people who can access a specific natural area daily. A study was performed to determine the load capacity in the Mineral Ecological Reserve of Nuestra Señora de Cosalá, Sinaloa, México, to avoid possible damage to the ecosystem, estimating the physical, real and estimated load in different paths. The results indicated that in the four paths the load was lower than the average visitors registered during the sampling period, which allows authorities to plan and manage the reserve, as well as reorganize the visits to reduce the impact on natural resources which are the basis for the ecotourism activity, and to improve the quality of the visit and satisfaction of the visitor.El senderismo es una actividad que permite caminar por espacios naturales y que debe ser cuidado para las siguientes generaciones. La Capacidad de Carga Turística es un estudio no novedoso para el ámbito ecológico y consiste en establecer un límite máximo de personas que puedan acceder diariamente a una determinada área natural. Se realizó un estudio para determinar la capacidad de carga en la Reserva Ecológica Mineral de Nuestra Señora de Cosalá, Sinaloa, México para evitar posibles daños al ecosistema, estimando la carga física, real y estimada en diferentes senderos. Los resultados indicaron que en los cuatro senderos la carga fue inferior al promedio de visitantes registrados durante el periodo de muestreo, lo cual permite a las autoridades planificar y manejar la reserva, así como reorganizar las visitas para reducir el impacto a los recursos naturales, que son la base de la actividad ecoturística, y mejorar la visita de calidad y la satisfacción del visitante
