During the transition period the Eastern economies must cope with enormous difficulties; significant positive effects on the Western economies can be expected only in the long run. But even so, certain changes are apparent; exports to the CSFR and to Hungary posted above-average growth rates; the flow of visitors from the CSFR surged by one third.
