Abstract. View cooperation defines interoperability between databases by views and functions. They are generated by rules for semantically related components. The rules can handle conflicts and constraints on schema and instance level in a very flexible way. This approach has a lower complexity than other view integration approaches and can find a solution where other approaches fail. The generated abstract definitions can be translated into a suitable form for the underlying DBMS, e.g. SQL. Finally we describe a process of deployment and propose a supporting architecture.
