Market orientation and service performance in libraries: An unexplored relationship Abstract: This study investigates the inter-relationship between market orientation and service performance of 33 libraries in the south of Finland. Three kinds of market orientation were found: the strong, the medium and the weak. The findings show that the higher market orientation is positively connected with the libraries ’ superior service performance.
