In sequential approximate optimization for general or complex structures, it seems to be ineffective due to the need of many numbers of structural analyses. It was, besides, more expensive to structural analysis than selection of experiment point, response surface approximation and optimization algorithm execution. So, it is necessary for distributed processing to reducing the time. Current computational environment with single processor such as a personal computer or a workstation is not capable of generating a high-level efficiency in structural analysis and design process for large-scaled structures.
