In this paper, we will demonstrate how recent developments in the nascent field of automated text categorization can be applied to Hebrew and Hebrew-Aramaic texts. In particular, we illustrate the use of new computational methods to address a number of scholarly problems concerning the classification of rabbinic manuscripts.
