feasibility study on the issues related with introducing a Coordinated Cadastral System (CCS) for Malaysia. One of the several project themes that has been carried out is a study related to the legal traceability issues concerning GPS for cadastre, testing of GPS equipment, and recommended practices for GPS cadastral surveys in the country. The practice of cadastral surveying which is regulated by legislation requires distance measurements (by EDM or chain) that are traceable to primary standards of measurement by means of calibration.
