Abstract–Combining SAR and interferometry techniques into a single system forms the interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) and now InSAR is a rapidly evolving technique. The main aims of this study are to derive DEMs using SAR images acquired from ERS Tandem, JERS-1, Radarsat-1, and to compare them with the photogrammetric DEM, SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) DEM, and ultimately, to validate the aforementioned DEMs against GPS height profiles as ground truth
