this report we summarize our characterization of mammary tumor cell lines derived from these MMTV-neu transgenic mice modulated by estrogenic hormonal treatment and/ or a diet rich in phytoestrogens. The focus of this report is the derivation of cell lines and our observation of chromosomal instability, in vivo growth characteristics and aggressivity as measured by comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) (25). We originally hypothesized that E2 exposure would be associated with enhanced chromosomal changes and that a soy diet might reduce this association.
