Snapshot-based Monte-Carlo simulation is a common tool to evaluate the performance of W-CDMA radio networks. An efficient method (power control at cell level) is known to compute cell transmit and received powers for a snapshot. The approach is valid in case all users can be served by the network. If this does not hold or if the resulting cell powers exceed their limits, then some users have to be removed/dropped. The power computation has then to be repeated until a valid combination of serviceable users is found. We propose mathematical schemes to simultaneously compute the approximate transmit and received powers as well as the serviceable traffic.
