Object-oriented system development is coupled to reuse in the REBOOT project. By a holistic approach with development of a reuse database, tools, components for selected areas and a reuse methodology the REBOOT environment will support the software development process. Keywords: Reuse, object-oriented design, classification 1 Introduction This article gives an overview of parts of the reuse methodology work done within the Esprit project REBOOT (Reuse Based on Object-Oriented Techniques) and related Norwegian projects NSR and SISU. The reuse methodology work within REBOOT consists of ffl a study of the legal and organizational aspects of reuse. ffl a development of guidelines how to use and adapt object-oriented techniques to get reuse. ...
