this paper is to present an answer to the question "what is culture?" on a rather theoretical level. There are some examples included, however the emphasis is on theory. The reason for this is pragmatism: I am not experienced enough in actual anthropological applications to present them in depth, the aim for examples is just to make the theory a little bit clearer. This paper has basically three parts: first a motivation why I chose this theory, second a presentation of paradigm and theory and third the implications of, possible applications of, and examples for the theory.
