Parallel 2D fast (tensor) wavelet transform algorithms have been implemented using the transpose-split idea. They run successfully on the Fujitsu VPP 300 and will form part of the Scientific Software Library of the VP and the VPP series. An alternative strategy based on parallelisation of 1D transforms yielding longer vector lengths is proposed and the merits of these approaches are compared. Finally, we combine these approaches in a third method using the best properties from the first and second approach
