Add to ORKGThe aim of this paper is to survey some recent trends in applied graph transformation as a rule based framework for the specification and development of systems, languages, and tools. After recalling the basic features of graph transformation, we discuss a spectrum of applications including term graph rewriting, the specification of the Agg-system, the specification of red/black trees, and the definition of the visual database query language HQL/EER. Finally, we sketch the basic features of GRACE, a new graph and rule centered language for the systematic and structured specification and programming based on graph transformation.
