The contributions at the AAAI-99 Workshop on Exploring Synergies of Knowledge Management and Case-Based Reasoning (www.aic.nrl.navy.mil/~aha/aaai99-kmcbrw) were varied; it was the first AAAI workshop that focused at the intersection of these two disciplines. In this paper I attempt to identify trends of interest to the case-based reasoning community, as exhibited by this workshop's contributions, and predict some future trends. 1.
