On top of the object oriented discrete event simulation library JAVA-Sim, developed at the University of Wuppertal, a modern comfortable graphical user interface GUI has been designed. For the ease of use the modeling interface has a flexible and easy to use control concept. The user interface is strictly separated from the core simulation classes. In order to feed the demand of a general simulator as well as the demands of an easy to use print-media-production simulator a consequent design and class structure has been required.
