This paper proposes the object-event table as a useful technique for modelling interaction between domain object types. The technique is based on an object interaction concept where objects interact by being jointly involved in events rather than by sending messages to each other. This way of modelling object interaction is very well suited for conceptual modelling and it can easily be transformed to message passing schemes at design time. A significant advantage of this specification technique is that it can be modelled by means of an objectevent table and, more important, that inspecting this object-event table allows verifying important aspects of the internal consistency of the specifications.
