In this report, we describe a two-stage algorithm for camera calibration using off-the-shelf TV cameras and lenses as well as a new class of separable image restoration/reconstruction algorithms for geometric distortion correction. We also describe in the report the implementation of these algorithms. While the two-stage camera calibration algorithm is aimed at efficient computation of the internal and external parameters of a camera, the new class of separable image restoration/reconstruction algorithms is, among many other applications such as image warping, intended to correct geometric distortion in terms of the parameters that characterize the camera.
