ANALISIS POTENSI EKONOMI KABUPATEN PONOROGO DIBANDING KOTA MADIUN TAHUN 2012-2017

The study, entitled "Analysis of the Economic Potential of Ponorogo Regency Compared to Madiun City in 2012-2017" aims to analyze the leading sectors and how these sectors are owned by Ponorogo Regency and Madiun City and analyze the economic sectors that have the potential to be developed to support economic growth in Ponorogo Regency and Madiun City. The method used in this research is location quotient analysis, classic shift-share, and classic typology. The results showed that the leading sector in Ponorogo Regency was based on the results of location quotient analysis, classic shift-share and typology classifications, with data for 2012-2017 it was known that Madiun City was superior to Ponorogo Regency because Madiun City had 10 basic sectors while Ponorogo Regency has 8 basic sectors. The rate of growth between the economic sectors of Ponorogo Regency and Madiun City both have 8 sectors which are included in the fast forward and fast developing categories. Madiun City is superior than Ponorogo Regency because Madiun City has 5 prospective or potential sectors, while Ponorogo Regency only has 3 sectors
