PENGARUH GLISEROL TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK BIOPLASTIK PATI KULIT PISANG RAJA (Musa paradisiaca L) SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

The bioplastic-based starch is fragile, easily damaged so that additional substances needed to correct the problem is with the addition of the Plasticizer glycerol. The purpose of this research is to describe the influence of various concentrations of glycerol on the mechanical properties of bioplastic starch of the King's Banana skin (Musa paradisiaca L). This research was conducted in the Laboratory of chemistry and Food Technology Science Laboratory of Muhammadiyah Malang University, this research uses complete randomized draft (RAL). The experimental research consisted of 5 levels: 0, 20, 40, 60, 80% (V/b starch). Measurement of bioplastic mechanical properties using strong tensile test and elongation. The Data was analyzed using a one-way ANOVA and using Kruskal walllis analysis. Results obtained the highest tensile strength value in the treatment of P. 1 glycerol 20% v/b starch with a value of 0.04651 M.Pa, increasing the concentration of glycerol resulted in decreased strong value of bioplastic tensile, while the highest elongation value in the treatment P. 3 Glycerol 60% v/b starch with a value of 73.7751%. Increased elongation value as the concentration of glycerol increases. The results of the study can be concluded that there is significant glycerol difference against strong value of tensile with sig 0.002 and elongation value with sig 0.000
