PERANCANGAN TURBIN AIR CROSS FLOW DEBIT (Q) = 0,22 M3/DET DAN HEAD (H) = 1,5 M

Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) is a power plant that utilizes water flow as an energy source. Potential energy and kinetic energy from water are converted into mechanical energy by turbines and then mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy by generators. Crossflow turbine, is one type of turbine that is often used for Micro Hydro Power Plants (MHP). Potential water flow in the village of Jambesari Poncokusmo is very possible to build a MHP. From the calculations, the design drawings from the cross flow turbines are obtained, and it can also be concluded that the irigari river flow in Poncokusumo, design of the cross flow type Impulse water turbine can be done. In this design is known Debit (Q) = 0,22 m3/s and Head (H) = 1,5 meters. The design method proposed by Pahl and Beitz as described in the book Engineering Desaign : A Systematic Approach. How to design it consists of 4 phases, where each phase consists of several steps. The design results show that Water Power (P) = 3237 watt, Specific Speed (ns) = 35 rad/s, Absolute Speed of Water (V1) = 29 m/s, Outside Diameter of Blade (D1) = 480 mm, Around Speed (U1) = 2,5 m/s, Blade Width (LD1) = 400 mm, Radius of Curvature the Blade (ρ) = 78 mm, Blade Total (z) = 18, The Angle between the Blades (φ) = 20o, Draft Tube Long (L) = 600 mm, Shaft Diameter (d) = 26 mm, Turbine Shaft Power = 2,584 kW
