POTENSI PENGEMBANGAN WISATA SYARIAH DI PULAU SANTEN PANTAI SYARIAH BANYUWANGI

Tourism has become a potential sector for development since every country has diverged tourist attractions. One of tourism that is being developed is sharia tourism. The local government of Banyuwangi has begun to reorganize Santen Island, carrying the concept of sharia. The research focused on the development strategy of Santen Island Banyuwangi Sharia Beach and to recognize the current conditions. The research was conducted using descriptive quantitative methods. The data gathered using questionnaire, field observation, and documentation. In order to learn the strength, weakness, opportunities, and threat, EFAS and IFAS analysis, Grand Strategy Matrix, and SWOT matrix were used in the study for the researcher to view the development of Santen Island Sharia beach tourism. The result shows that sharia tourism stands in the fourth quadrant which signifies that the position faces various internal threats and weakness. The implementation of research is the regional governments should develop their potential sharia tourist attraction in Banyuwangi. To contribute more in the development of sharia tourism along with the manager by collecting the data on the potential of sharia tourism, followed by repairing the destination infrastructures, and mosque facilities
