In this paper different simulation systems are presented, which have been developed with special emphasis on an object oriented programming paradigm. A set of classes for parallel Time Warp simulation was created. Using these classes, a sequential and based on this a parallel logic simulation system has been built. Moreover, a parallel simulation system with a specific application interface has been implemented. The most recent design using this set of classes is a sequential system for VHDL simulation on logic level according to the VITAL standard. All of these systems share classes and show the successful reuse of software in different applications. Object orientation was also very useful to achieve a clear software structure, which eases...
