Overlapping Community Detection Algorithms in Dynamic Networks: An Overview

Abstract: Many real-world networks, especially social networks, exhibit an overlapping community structure. Identifying overlapping communities and overlapping nodes is a recent and increasingly active field of research. Dynamic complex networks model the evolving relationships between communities. Significant attention is attracted to the literature of community detection in complex network. Detecting and tracking communities in a dynamic network where changes arrive as a stream is a challenging issue in social network. Many algorithms have been proposed to identify and detect the dynamic communities in complex networks. This paper provides an overview of overlapping community detection algorithms in dynamic networks
