This paper introduces to the alternative internet architecture of information-centric networking as opposed to the common host-to-host oriented design approach. Since the rise of computer networking until the internet becoming an incremental part of people’s everyday life, it has undergone severe changes in usage scenarios. Users are interested in content and services and not in locations where to find them. In order to reflect those better in the underlying architecture of the internet, Content-Centric Networking (CCN) tries to loosen content and services from addresses in the network of machines.
