Recurrence of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) following renal transplantation is associated with decreased allograft function and/or graft loss. The optimal specific management of recurrence during the posttransplant period is not yet clear. Plasmapheresis peri-operatively or following transplantation and other supportive measures such as higher doses of cyclosporine have been used in the clinical management of recurrence. We performed a retrospective analysis of ten children with FSGS who had renal transplants at our center between 1999 and 2008.
