Textile-based composites are used in manufacturing of ballistic shields due to their favorable combination of mechanical properties which enables weight saving and efficiency while retaining or even improving ballistic performance. Predictive models are an important tool in reducing experimental tests which are still an important step in ballistic shield design. Among those, analytical models provide less accurate results but require far less computational cost than numerical models and can be used for preliminary analyses.
