This work is divided into two points: i) exposes the similarities and differences between the eliminativist materialism theory of The Churchlands and Daniel Dennett's theory of functionalism; considering, in addition, the conceptualization that both theories do about consciousness; and ii) realize a critical analysis of the approaches of eliminativist materialism and functionalism with respect to its conceptualization about consciousness.
