This article addresses the iconography of anthropophagic rituals amongst the Tupinambá indians. More specifically, it examines five engravings by engraver and reformist editor Theodore de Bry for his Americae Tertia Pars (1592), where the death, preparation and consumption of the victim are deícted in detail.
