GAMBARAN SELF EFFICACY PADA ORANG DENGAN SKIZOFRENIA (ODS) DI RUANG RAWAT INAP RSJD DR. AMINO GONDOHUTOMO JAWA TENGAH

Schizophrenic patient not only had a psychological disorder, but also physical and social disorders. The important thing that will help a schizophrenic patient in performing tasks or jobs to achieve certain goals and affect an individual's functional capacity is self-efficacy. The importance of the role of self-efficacy and the lack of research related to self-efficacy in people with schizophrenia (ODS) makes this research necessary. This study aims to describe the level of self-efficacy in schizophrenic patients. This descriptive survey study of 132 schizophrenic patients using a non-probability sampling method. The inclusion criteria in this study were schizophrenic patients that were hospitalized in the regional psychiatric hospital in Central Java Province, aged between 18-60 years, did not experience verbal communication disorders, and were in stable condition. The exclusion criteria in this study were schizophrenic patients who were in the acute phase or relapse. This study measures of self-efficacy in a schizophrenic patient using the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE) questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis. The result findings showed that the mean of self-efficacy in a schizophrenic patient is 28,34. A schizophrenic patient who had a high level of self-efficacy will reduce the negative symptoms that arise, such as losing interest in the activity, because self-efficacy will increase someone's confidence in their abilities. Future research can identify the factors that influence self-efficacy and interventions that can be used to increase self-efficacy in a schizophrenic patient
