En este artículo se presentan los resultados de un estudio realizado entre 141 estudiantes de la Carrera de Derecho de una universidad estatal al norte de Chile. La investigación se llevó a cabo bajo el paradigma cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo con el fin de evaluar las habilidades de razonamiento verbal, análisis argumentativo, testeo de hipótesis, uso de probabilidad e incertidumbre y toma de decisiones para la solución de problemas. Los resultados demostraron un bajo nivel en cada uno de los factores analizados.
