In this study, to evaluate whether bias free Ca isotope ratios can be properly achieved by thermal ionisation mass spectrometry (TIMS) using the Ca-42-Ca-43 double-spike technique without chemical purification, a series of comparable experiments (with or without column chemistry) were made on Ca-dominated minerals and rocks. Minerals, including fluorite, calcite, titanite and apatite, displayed similar Ca isotope ratios with Delta Ca-44/40(with-without) ranging from -0.02 to +0.07 parts per thousand.
