National audienceA coupling strategy between a macroscopic/homogenized model of a structure and a ``finer'' microscopic model of some local details is proposed. It is based on a surface linkage of the models that makes use of a micro-macro separation of interface quantities. In order to account for macroscopic strain gradients at the level of the zone of interest, a second order gradient kinematics is chosen to define the macroscopic space for the interface displacements. The approach enables one to obtain the microscopic solution in the detailed zone that would be obtained by second order homogenization with the advantage of no requiring the explicit construction of the homogenized behavior. In order to facilitate its use in industrial sof...
