In the optically untwinned microperthitic alkali feldspars from the Mt. Pélago anatexites in the Argentera Massif, Maritime Alps, the exsolved Na-phases occur in only very small amounts and the K-phases, from X-ray powder diffraction, reveal very high N[Or] contents, triclinic symmetry, and moderately high to high ordered Si, Al distributions that seem to approach the one-step ordering trend. Single crystal X-ray studies on these microperthites show that the diagonal association is most frequent in the K-phases and M-twinning is almost always present in the Na-phases.
