This two-story Marlboro County farmhouse was constructed ca. 1870 for local plantation owner William Sylvester Mowry. The house is a fine late example of transitional Greek Revival/Italianate with Victorian ornamentation. In 2005, the owners began a major rehabilitation program which was approved by the State Historic Preservation Office qualifying the owners for a South Carolina Homeowner’s Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credi
