In this research, response of steel beam-to-column bolted connections to blast loading is investigated. Nonlinear analyses of the connections are performed using the finite element software ABAQUS. In order to demonstrate the accuracy of the finite element modelling, an experimental test of a steel beam-to-column bolted connection is modelled. Comparison of the obtained result from the modelling with that of the corresponding experimental test verifies the modelling. Then, a 5-storey steel building is designed using ETABS software from which a beam-to-column connection of the ground floor is selected for the nonlinear analysis in ABAQUS.
