This study analyzes the graphic record of post-vocalic nasality used by children in written language acquisition and who speak different variants of the Portuguese language. Considering the theoretical divergences that involve vowel nasality in Portuguese, if formed by the vowel + nasal consonant structure, as postulated by Camara Junior (1979), or if it constitutes a property of the vowels (COSTA, FREITAS, 2001), this research seeks to investigate as children who share the same linguistic system, but of different variants, have represented phonological nasality.
