PROBLEM DAN SOLUSI KOMUNIKASI ANTARA ORA NG TUA DENGAN ANAK DALAM KELUAGA BROKEN HOME (Studi Naratif Proses Komunikasi yang Berlangsung antara Orang Tua dengan Anak pada Keluarga Broken Home di Kecamatan Ambulu, Kabupaten Jember)

Broken home families have become a reasonably problematic situation in Jember Regency, East Java, even the divorce rate in Jember Regency ranks second from other regency areas in East Java. A fair amount of research is required for making it possible to analyze the root of the problem. Thus, this research aims to find out communication problems between parents and children, as well as examining the solution in creating a harmonious relationship between parents and children over broken home families. This research applies sociopsychological communication theory in family relationship schemes, where the theory classifies family types based on the way family members as individuals see the family itself. This theory is a communication tradition that pays attention to the importance of interactions that could affect mental processes in individuals. The study of individual social behavior, psychological variables, individual effects, personality, traits, and perceptions are the main focus to provide an understanding or picture of how humans process information from other individuals. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in stages interviews (each family member at a time) and life history on 2 (two) family members who have experienced a broken home consisting of 6 (six) subjects from different point of view namely Father, Mother and Child in Ambulu District, Jember Regency. The results of this study indicate that the problems and communication solutions between parents and children in 2 (two) different family members are almost the same. It turns out that parents’ habits when educating children have a significant influence on how to communicate with children, the practice of communicating since childhood is the main problem of the emergence of the issues and the inadequacy of solutions that are tried among family members
