PEMAKNAAN KHALAYAK TENTANG TAYANGAN PROGRAM RANS ENTERTAINMENT KONTEN RANS COOKING DI YOUTUBE (STUDI RESEPSI PADA MAHASISWA ILMU KOMUNIKASI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG ANGKATAN 2014)

This research is motivated by the RANS Entertainment channel which has RANS Cooking content, where this content is informative, entertaining and attracts the attention of Youtube viewers. RANS Entertainment has a variety of content in it. Researchers chose RANS Cooking content because this content has thumbnail views, opening music and fixed place settings, different from other RANS Entertainment content, where the place settings tend to change. The purpose of this study is to describe the meaning of audiences about the broadcast program RANS Entertainment RANS Cooking content. The theory used in this study is Stuart Hall's encoding / decoding theory with a qualitative descriptive research approach. Data obtained through interview techniques and documentation, while for the selection of research subjects using purposive sampling techniques. The analysis technique used in this study is the Miles and Huberman model. This research method is a reception study, using the criteria of media text readers namely Dominant Reader (dominant hegemonic position), Negotiated Reader (negotiated code) and Opposition Reader (oppositional code). Based on the results of the study showed that the audience's understanding of the program broadcast RANS Entertainment RANS Cooking content can be felt by the audience. There are three main positions of the audience for the reception delivered in the RANS Entertainment program broadcasts RANS Cooking content, namely the dominant position of hegemony, negotiation position, and opposition position. The difference in position shows that the knowledge, understanding and meaning of each audience will affect the reception process that is conveyed on the RANS Entertainment program broadcasts RANS Cooking content. Therefore, the message delivered can lead to various receptions between one audience and another
