Engaging stakeholders in the design of networked public display systems is a key factor for a successful long-term deployment. Previous work has identified these stakeholders as display providers, content producers, and content viewers. Yet reports on stakeholder engagement and their influence on system design and overall deployment processes are rare. Here, the authors describe the process of developing and installing a display network at a university over the course of three years.
