Mathematics, Cryptography, Blockchains, and Cryptocurrencies. Myths and realities.

Abstract: Blockchains and cryptocurrencies have been in headline news since few years for various reasons. Behind these two buzzwords there is lot of technology relying on well-established cryptographical concepts, namely encryption and digital signatures that relies on mathematics and statistical approaches.
