Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) clinical scale elevations were examined through retroactive analysis of comprehensive posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) evaluations of military veterans. Clinical scale elevations and MMPI-2 codetypes were compared across samples organized by the era in which the veterans served. Mean and mode codetypes were then compared to standards outlined by Watson et al.’s (n.d.) Best Practice Manual for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Compensation and Pension Examinations for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
