This paper is aimed to explore the concept of metamorphose within the framework of the systemic thinking, focusing on the process of change that affects objects. The theoretical systemic and interdisciplinary approach, whose birthdate is traditionally fixed as 1967, when Austrian biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy published the General System Theory, seems fruitful to grasp at least some main traits of a phenomenon limited by prescriptions, internal and environmental dynamics that act on multiple levels.
