One of the most important and widely used construction materials of modern times is concrete. A lot of effort has been made in recent years to study the material and all its related technologies. An example of this is fastening systems which are widely used. Due to their importance regarding the safety of structures and people, numerical models which are able to predict the complex behaviour of such systems were developed.
