Aim of the article: The aim of this article is to determine the accumulation of heavy metals by plants: Plantago Major, Taraxacum officinale, Trifolium pratense and use of these plants as bio-indicator to show the level of contamination by heavy metals in Durres.Material and methods: The methodology consisted of work sampling for research and use of macroscopic and microscopic methods for determining the choice of herbs and metals using some criters. Herbs were collected in five different points of the city (rural and urban) used as control points for contamination with heavy metals.Results: were analyzed based on the measurement of physico-chemical parameters in various locations in the sea coast of Durres.
